A successful Pacific New Zealand Business Breakfast.

Our second Pacific Welkam event took place in Brisbane on 30th March, 2017.

— By APIBC

Thank you to those who braved the rains to attend our second Pacific Welkam event in Brisbane, the Pacific New Zealand Business Breakfast. Despite the incredible weather we experienced last Thursday, we had a great turnout of 40 guests who attended to hear the update on the economies and opportunities in the Pacific Region.

Thanks also to ANZ Banking group for generously sponsoring the event.

We particularly thank our speakers for the event, Mr John Brand, Australian Consul-General, Auckland, and Senior Trade Commissioner to New Zealand, Melanesia, Polynesia and East Timor and Mr Warren Bobin, Director Institutional Banking, ANZ PNG. We also appreciate the advice shared by both John and Warren during the Q&A panel discussion along with valuable input from Mr Adrian Weeks (Trade Commissioner, Pacific) and Mr David Knapton (Trade Commissioner, Papua New Guinea).

This year, with the introduction of the Pacific Welkam Series, we are striving to create a quality program with a varied selection of speakers and industry updates, and also provide valuable networking opportunities for Australian and Pacific businesses, and those interested in these markets.  We hope to continue to see new faces at our future events.

If you wish to know about future events as a non-member, you can subscribe to our event updates.

The next Pacific Welkam will take place in Melbourne this week, Thursday 6th April hosted by Newscrest Mining Limited. Please feel free to share with your networks.
