The Pacific Infrastructure Business Opportunities Seminar (PBOS) 2026 will be held from 25–27 May 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nadi, Fiji, returning to the same venue that hosted the 2024 seminar. The event is convened by the Asian Development Bank through its Pacific Department and Business Center, in partnership with Pacific governments and a range of development agencies and industry stakeholders.
PBOS has become a key fixture on the regional infrastructure calendar, offering companies direct access to government project management units, development partner procurement teams and technical specialists. The seminar is designed to provide early visibility on forthcoming projects and procurement pipelines across the Pacific, at a time when infrastructure investment remains central to economic resilience and growth.
Across the region, governments are advancing projects in water supply and sanitation, renewable energy, ports, aviation, roads and urban services. Much of this activity is supported by multilateral and bilateral partners, including the World Bank and Australia’s Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific. Climate adaptation, resilient design standards and sustainable procurement frameworks are increasingly embedded in project criteria, reflecting the region’s exposure to natural disasters and climate-related risks.
For companies active in construction, engineering, consulting, project management, utilities, transport and energy, PBOS offers a structured opportunity to understand upcoming tenders, funding modalities and compliance requirements. Sessions typically include country briefings, sector updates, procurement guidance and one-on-one networking meetings with implementing agencies.
The Pacific’s infrastructure challenge remains substantial. Small domestic markets, geographic dispersion and high logistics costs add complexity to delivery. At the same time, development finance flows into the region have expanded in recent years, creating new openings for firms able to meet rigorous technical, governance and environmental standards.
PBOS 2026 is expected to attract government agencies, contractors, consultants, suppliers and financiers from across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific Islands. For businesses seeking to position themselves early in the project cycle, the seminar provides both strategic insight and practical connections.
