Pacific ventures make their pitch at impact investment forum

Apr 7, 2026 | 2026, Pacific

For the first time, six Pacific enterprises took the stage at the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific in Sydney on 25-26 March, presenting directly to global investors through a dedicated Pacific Showcase facilitated by Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) Australia.

Drawing more than 800 attendees over two days to ICC Sydney, the Summit brought together investors, advisors, foundations, family offices and government representatives to explore new opportunities and drive real outcomes. Recognised as the key event for impact investing in the Asia-Pacific region, the Summit is focused on delivering strong financial returns alongside positive impact — and it was here that PTI positioned six investment-ready Pacific enterprises at the centre of that conversation through its Pacific Showcase.

The presenting organisations — Good Return, the Drua Foundation, South Pacific Business Development Microfinance Network, Waste Recyclers Fiji, Green Finance Centre PNG, and FireTracking — span financial inclusion, climate technology and circular economy. Together, they represent businesses operating across Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia, reflecting the depth and diversity of investment-ready opportunities across our region.

PTI Australia Trade Commissioner Tim Martin said the event reflected a maturation in how the region is positioning itself to global investors.

“This is the first time Pacific ventures have been brought together in a dedicated showcase of this kind, providing direct access to investors actively deploying capital across our region,” Mr Martin said. “The Pacific is generating a growing pipeline of credible, investment-ready ventures — and this creates a practical pathway to explore partnerships that can scale both operations and impact.”

Beyond the Showcase itself, PTI’s presence drew together a broader Pacific contingent at the Summit. Governor of the Bank of Papua New Guinea, Mrs Elizabeth Genia, and Assistant Governor George Awap joined PTI Australia at the event, alongside representatives from Pacific Legal Network, the Unit Trust of Samoa, and Fiji Investment Corporation Limited — reflecting the growing number of Pacific institutions actively engaging with global impact investment markets.
