We are pleased to welcome Michelle Wu to the Business Council Secretariat team, who joined us on 1 February as Operations and Business Members Manager.
In this role, Michelle’s focus will be on strengthening member engagement and relationship building across the Council. She will work closely with our business members to foster active dialogue, understand their priorities, and ensure they feel connected and supported through the Council’s activities and networks.
A key part of Michelle’s work will also involve connecting relevant stakeholders with our business members, strengthening communication and enabling more collaborative partnerships across the organisation.
Michelle will also be working on a project focused on developing and maintaining strong relationships with Chambers of Commerce across the Pacific. This will support deeper engagement and help build a clearer understanding of their operating environments across the region. The broader scope of the project is still being finalised, and further details will be shared in due course.
Before joining the Secretariat team, Michelle worked as a Business Development Manager at JB Pacific Scientists and Engineers, a firm providing engineering, scientific and resilience consulting services across the Pacific region. Her role involved maintaining relationships with clients and industry partners, coordinating tender and procurement activities, and assisting with project coordination where required. This experience has provided a strong foundation for the member engagement and relationship-focused aspects of her current role.
