Two proud members of the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council (APIBC) have earned significant recognition at recent export award ceremonies, highlighting their contributions to the Pacific region and beyond.
Reeves Envico, a prominent member of the APIBC, took home the prestigious Professional Services Award at the 2024 Governor of Victoria Export Awards. Director Peter Cusack expressed his gratitude upon receiving the award, saying, “I was proud to represent the many members of staff, both here in Australia and the many off-shore locations that we work. This award truly belongs to our team, and is recognition of the efforts they have made.” Cusack’s remarks reflected the company’s commitment to delivering key infrastructure and engineering projects throughout the Pacific. Reeves Envico is well-known for their work in developing essential projects in remote areas, providing critical services to communities in need.

Another standout performer from the APIBC was JB Pacific, which was honoured at the Queensland Export Awards 2024 on 4th September. The company, led by Daniel Rodger, was recognised for its work in climate change and extreme weather projects across the Pacific. JB Pacific’s efforts in countries such as Nauru, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, and Tonga have been instrumental in investigating the impact of cyclones, addressing erosion issues, and creating designs to protect vulnerable communities from flooding and coastal threats.
“This award recognises our team’s dedication to working on climate change and extreme weather projects,” Rodger said, adding that the company remains committed to building resilience against natural disasters in Pacific Island communities.
Both Reeves Envico and JB Pacific’s awards underscore the important role Australian companies play in strengthening the infrastructure and sustainability of the Pacific Islands, furthering cooperation and development in the region.
