Reeves Envico, a leader in community-transforming infrastructure projects across the Pacific, has been named the winner of the Professional Services category at the 62nd Australian Export Awards, held at Parliament House in Canberra. The accolade celebrates the company’s remarkable contributions to infrastructure development in some of the world’s most remote regions.

With nearly four decades of experience, Reeves Envico is currently engaged in 13 active projects across the Pacific, spanning Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea. Last year, the company exported over 350 containers of Australian and New Zealand-supplied construction materials to these locations, overcoming significant logistical challenges to deliver world-class infrastructure.

The company’s work has focused on critical needs such as water access and climate resilience. Projects like the South Tarawa Water Project in Kiribati are designed to secure safe water supplies for vulnerable communities. The initiative includes the construction of two desalination plants capable of producing 3.5 million litres of water daily, addressing uneven access to sanitation and preparing the region for future challenges.

Reeves Envico’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth is evident in its pivot toward climate-resilient infrastructure. From cyclone-resistant buildings to innovative prefabricated construction systems, the company has adapted its operations to meet the rising demand for climate-ready solutions in the Pacific.

Over the past year, renewed infrastructure funding from the Australian Government and multilateral banks has driven a 50% increase in Reeves Envico’s workload across the Pacific. This growth has led to the employment of over 80 Australians and 250 Pacific-based nationals, highlighting the company’s dual focus on local job creation and international expertise.

Reeves Envico has also expanded its reach to Southeast Asia, establishing a joint venture in Indonesia and participating in Austrade activities to build partnerships with Indonesian water companies. Through these collaborations, the company continues to innovate while fostering connections in new markets.

The company is equally dedicated to workforce development. By partnering with the Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) and local institutions, Reeves Envico invests in skills training and offers opportunities to graduates, particularly targeting gender equity in the construction industry.

Reflecting on the recognition, a company spokesperson said, “This award is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our team here in Australia and across our offshore locations. We are thrilled to see our efforts recognised and remain committed to building a better and more equitable world for all.”
