The Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations Plus – or PACER Plus – entered into force on 13 December, marking the start of a new journey in which parties will determine and co-deliver their own priorities for increasing trade across the Pacific. Also, on 13 December 2020 the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment made a statement here about the entering into force of PACER Plus.
The Council is working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Austrade on holding a Pacific business event in early 2021 to discuss the opportunities offered by PACER Plus for Australian and Pacific businesses.
