Oct 3, 2025 | 2025, Pacific

The Australia Pacific Islands Business Council congratulates member company Marine Structures on the successful completion of the marine infrastructure works for Port Denarau Marina’s six million dollar mega yacht berth expansion. The project has created Fiji’s first berth capable of accommodating vessels up to 115 metres and marks an important milestone in positioning the country as a global superyacht destination.

Construction involved extending the marina jetty, dredging access channels and deepening turning basins to allow the safe arrival of the world’s largest yachts. The expansion was completed within a four month timeframe and has strengthened Port Denarau Marina’s capacity to service the growing luxury vessel market in the Pacific.

With 62 private berths now in operation, including 27 designated for superyachts over 24 metres, Port Denarau is well placed to consolidate its role as a premier regional hub. The board of Port Denarau Marina has highlighted the project as a forward looking investment in Fiji’s marine tourism sector that will generate local employment, stimulate supporting industries and enhance the visitor experience.

For Marine Structures, this landmark project demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver complex infrastructure to international standards while working in partnership with Pacific stakeholders. Its success reflects both technical capability and a commitment to supporting sustainable growth in island economies.

As a valued member of the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council, Marine Structures’ achievement is a source of pride for our network. It shows the contribution that Australian companies can make to Pacific development while building enduring business ties across the region.
