Registrations are now open for the Pacific Infrastructure Conference 2025, the region’s premier platform for collaboration on sustainable infrastructure development across the Pacific Islands.
The conference will bring together government leaders, private sector stakeholders, global development partners, and multilateral agencies to align on infrastructure priorities critical to the Pacific’s future. Attendees will include ministers and senior government officials from Pacific Island nations, alongside representatives from leading infrastructure firms, consultants, financiers, and donor organisations.
Spanning key sectors such as transport, energy, ICT, and urban development, the conference provides an opportunity to gain direct insights into the Pacific’s infrastructure pipeline and engage with those shaping national and regional investment agendas.
Speaking at Austrade’s Pacific Infrastructure Roadshow in Melbourne, Simon Gorman, President APIBC said, “The Pacific Infrastructure Conference is expected to bring together between 600 and 800 participants from across the Pacific, including ministers, parliamentarians, contractors, and suppliers. It’s a unique opportunity to meet the region’s key decision-makers all in one place. If you’re serious about doing business in the Pacific, this event saves you a trip to 14 different countries –just come to Brisbane on those dates.”
The event will be underpinned by the Pacific Quality Infrastructure Principles, a regional framework developed to enhance the quality and impact of infrastructure investments. These principles emphasise local employment and business participation, value for money, climate resilience, responsible borrowing, environmental and social safeguards, inclusivity, and private sector engagement. The framework is aligned with the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, ensuring infrastructure supports resilient, inclusive, and sustainable development across the region.
Pacific Island countries face distinct development challenges shaped by their geography, limited connectivity, vulnerability to climate change, and constrained access to finance. Infrastructure development is central to overcoming these challenges—linking communities, enabling trade, expanding digital access, and strengthening resilience against natural disasters. Sustainable infrastructure also underpins health, education, and economic participation.
Recent years have seen growing collaboration between governments, international partners, and the private sector to address infrastructure gaps through innovative financing models and regional partnerships. However, demand continues to outpace delivery. The Pacific Infrastructure Conference 2025 provides a timely opportunity to coordinate efforts, attract investment, and accelerate implementation of priority projects that are locally grounded and future-ready.
In addition to keynote sessions and sector-focused panels, the conference will feature an industry expo, offering organisations a platform to showcase services, technologies, and solutions aligned with Pacific infrastructure goals.
The APIBC encourages early registration to secure participation in what is set to be a pivotal gathering for regional development, investment, and collaboration.
