  1. The Solomon Islands Government (SIG) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP2) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Noro Roads Improvement.
  2. The Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Noro Roads Improvement, comprising 10.2 km of road improvement works in Western Province, Solomon Islands.
  3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

  5. The Bidding document in English will be emailed to interested eligible Bidders, upon the submission of a written application to the address below.
  6. Bids must be delivered electronically (by email and password-protected) to either of the email addresses below on or before December 15, 2023 at 10:00am local time. Late Bids will be rejected. The file “TECHNICAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend in person and via GoogleMeet on December 15, 2023 at 11:00am local time.

“FINANCIAL PART” shall remain unopened and will be held in safe custody of the Employer until the second public Bid opening.

  1. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
  2. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
